Meet the Team

The Construction Training Fund only has 21 staff so for such a small organisation, we certainly punch well above our weight.

The Construction Training Fund only has 21 staff so for such a small organisation, we certainly punch well above our weight. With the launch of this new CTF News, we felt it would be opportune for us to be able to introduce some of our dedicated team. The Career Promotions Team consists of our Industry Training Advisors (ITAs) and the Construction Futures Centre (CFC) team.

Career Promotions Team - Construction Training Fund

(L-R) Braden, Aidan, Steve, Takarah & Melissa

Industry Training Advisors

Aidan, Steve and Braden are always out and about, providing information to employers, schools and the community about employment and training support offered by CTF; while promoting the industry at expos and public careers events.

They manage the CTFs school to work transition programs, such as Try-A-Trade, present career pathway information to school groups, attend expos and industry award nights and meet with employers of apprentices and trainees within the industry. They are always ready to come and discuss the construction industry and all its benefits!

Construction Futures Centre

The team for the CFC comprises the Visitor Experience Coordinator; Melissa Paxman and facilitator; Takarah Stokes. The CFC is an interactive career information centre providing visitors with real life accounts of job roles within the construction industry and career pathway information.

The team manages bookings and promotes information on employment and training pathways into the construction industry to schools, Vocational Education and Training teachers and students and community groups. In addition to schools, the CFC has had many visits from industry associations, building companies, RTOs and GTOs. The CFC had over 3,000 visitors in 2018 which exceeded expectations.
