Calculate your Employer Grant amount
Whether you are thinking about taking on an apprentice or already employ one, the Employer Grant Calculator provides an easy way to work out the Employer Grant funding your business may be eligible for.
Employing an apprentice is one of the best ways to develop the exact skills your business needs, while also helping build a safe, skilled and sustainable construction workforce for WA.
The Employer Grant Calculator shows WA construction employers the CTF funding available to offset their investment in the training, wages and on-the-job supervision of an eligible apprentice.
What Employer Grant funding could you be eligible for?
From sole traders through to major construction companies, eligible WA construction employers can receive up to $36,500 per apprentice through CTF’s Employer Grant.
This includes a base grant payment, with additional bonus payments available if an apprentice:
- Is female, Indigenous or mature age (21 years or over)
- Lives and works in a regional area
- Has completed a recognised pre-apprenticeship
The calculator shows how these bonus payments can increase the total available Employer Grant.
How does the Employer Grant Calculator work?
The Employer Grant Calculator uses the information you provide to give an estimate of the funding your business may be eligible for, including:
- The length and location of the apprenticeship or traineeship
- Whether the apprentice has completed a recognised pre-apprenticeship
- Eligibility for any additional bonus payments
It gives you an idea of the potential funding available through CTF’s Employer Grant program.
Estimate your Employer Grant
The Employer Grant Calculator provides an estimate only and eligibility criteria apply.
The potential grant calculated is current for eligible employers with apprentices and trainees who commenced their qualification on or after 1 July 2024.
For more information on the Employer Grant program, including eligibility criteria and how to apply, visit the Employer Grant page.
CTF is funding the training and building the skills that keep the WA construction industry moving forward.
Apprentice support for businesses
Employers taking on apprentices or trainees in the construction industry may be eligible for grants from Construction Training Fund (CTF). Employer grants encourage business owners in the construction industry to employ apprentices and trainees by offsetting hiring costs. Eligibility is determined by the apprentice or trainee’s qualification.
The potential grant calculated below is current for all eligible employers with apprentices and trainees that commenced their qualification on or after 1 July 2024.
Calculate how much your business is eligible for
There are three factors influencing the amount of grant funding an employer is eligible to receive. These are the apprentice’s qualification, the location of the apprenticeship and additional grant incentives, if any apply.
