Building Technician

Building technicians work on construction sites providing technical assistance to construction managers, surveyors, engineers, architects and other workers.

They assist in estimating material costs, negotiate in the purchasing of material and checking the quality of suppliers. Other duties may include preparing plans, monitoring construction progress, supervising contracts, attending project meetings, inspecting small projects and acquiring permits where necessary.
