CTF helps eligible employers, small or large, to offset the costs of upskilling via short course training subsidies. We provide support for, so you and your team can upskill.
When you train an apprentice or trainee, you help workers understand how your business operates, increasing efficiency and profitability.
Businesses that employ an apprentice or trainee may be eligible to receive a CTF grant of up to $21,000 over the full term of the apprenticeship to reduce the cost of training.
Our Disaster Recovery Construction Training Grant (DRCTG) is currently supporting the communities affected by the Wooroloo bushfires and Cyclone Seroja.
The $3.5 million investment provides employer support over a two year period, as well as funding to apprentices and trainees involved in the re-building works. Businesses with an apprentice can receive a grant of up to $6,000. Apprentices and trainees can also claim up to $2,000 to cover travel and accommodation costs.
Adult workers bring the benefit of life and work experience to your business.
In 2021 we launched a pilot program to help ease the costs of hiring adult apprentices who offer skills, productivity and maturity. The funding, which reduces the gap between mature-age and junior rates applies to 150 apprentices over the age of 21, employed in 9 different trades.
This initiative helps diversify the workforce and alleviates some of the extra wage costs faced by employers hiring a mature-age apprentice.
Eligible employers who hire apprentices or trainees can access grants from CTF. The funding is used to offset any costs the employer may have whilst employing an apprentice or trainee.
In 3 simple steps, you can calculate the grant amount available to start hiring and training apprentices who commence on or after July 1st 2021.
When an Apprenticeship and Traineeship Grant is due CTF will contact you via email and to apply you simply need to response to the email with requested documents.
These claims are due at commencement (6 months), halfway through the training contract and on successful completion. This might vary if there is a reduction in term from that specified in the training contract; the employer is not the original employer of the indentured apprentice/trainee; or the training contract is part-time.
