  • Meet potential employers
  • Learn from industry mentors and past students
  • Real work experience
  • You may receive credit for your Certificate III
  • It may reduce time spent as an apprentice or trainee

Choose a one- or two-year program. Training is 1–2 days a week, with work experience included. Year 10 and 11 students can find out more and register their interest:

Starting an Apprenticeship

Not sure where to start?

Apprenticeships and traineeships allow you to learn on the job while getting paid. There is no one way to get an apprenticeship and there are plenty of options to choose from, depending on your interests.

You can start your pathway and increase your career opportunities in the construction industry whether in school, as a leaver or as a mature-age entrant. Apply for a scholarship, get a taste of different trades and prepare for an apprenticeship.

Pre-Apprenticeship Award

Pre-apprenticeship courses are a great way to build your skills and get a deeper understanding of the industry before committing fully. Upon successful completion of an eligible Certificate II qualification you can claim an award payment of $500 from CTF.
